firstname.lastname@tela.fi

Who?

I’m the director of communications and public relations at TELA. I started in this role in October 2023. Almost all my career, I’ve worked with politics, decision making and advocacy. Before TELA, I was an influencer communications consultant at Tekir. I’ve served as a state secretary or special assistant to a minister in three ministries. I’ve been head of political training with a political party and occupied a range of roles in different trade union bodies for almost eight years. At the start of my career, I was an MP’s assistant in Parliament. I have a master’s in social sciences from the University of Turku. I majored in political history and my minors were in political science, social policy and futures research.

In my spare time:

Outside work, most of my free time goes to caring for my four kids. That means a lot of cooking, driving them to their hobbies, checking their homework, getting them dressed and reading them bedtime stories. In my free time, I like to keep active: I swim, jog and go to the gym. I love commuting by bike, and I like to cycle almost year-round on my e-bike between home and work and from place to place during the working day. I like to read. I read everything possible, from non-fiction to crime novels. I particularly like science fiction. One of my favourite hobbies is cosmology and, in particular, contemplating existential questions. Thinking about the origin and future of the universe puts work and everyday troubles in the right context and proportion.
