Common guidelines and recommendations for the sector

In addition to legislation, the activities of authorized pension providers are governed by guidelines and recommendations drawn up jointly in the sector. The recommendations on this page refer to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as measures in vocational rehabilitation and reimbursement for rehabilitation costs.

Prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing

Guidelines for prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing is prepared by the Advisory Committee for Legal Affairs. The latest version of the guidelines was approved by the TELA Board of Directors in spring 2024. With the guidelines, the earnings-related pension sector wants to demonstrate its adherence to the best and uniform practices for preventing the risks of money laundering and the terrorist financing inherent to earnings-related pension insurance. These guidelines, formulated as recommendations, set out the general issues in the sector. Each pension provider decides how it takes the guidelines into account in its own operations.

The guidelines can be downloaded as the attached PDF file.
