Recommendation on reimbursement of vocational rehabilitation costs updated for 2026
Our Rehabilitation Affairs expert group has updated the recommendation, which defines the reimbursement of costs incurred from participation in vocational rehabilitation. The recommendation will take effect on January 1, 2026.
The recommendation includes reimbursement of costs related to vocational rehabilitation as well as costs arising from investigations required for a pension decision or rehabilitation. Costs incurred from rehabilitation will be reimbursed according to the recommendation, and payment of reimbursements is discretionary.
For questions related to the recommendation and its application in individual cases, the rehabilitant should contact their own earnings-related pension provider.
