Who?
I have been a director at Tela since September 2025. In my previous position at the Confederation of Finnish Industries I helped negotiate the 2017 and 2025 pension agreements. I have experience of the earnings-related pension sector from a job as an actuary at Varma and serving on the board at Veritas. I hold a PhD in mathematics, in which the topic of my dissertation was calcium dynamics in cardiac muscle cells.

The earnings-related pension system is like a cast-iron Singer sewing machine. It’s worked reliably since 1962 and, with some small needle replacements, will continue to do so to infinity and beyond.

In my spare time:
I’m an active person who still gets excited about science and pumpkin farming. I’m a dad to three kids who are almost grown up. I enjoy cycling, relaxed jogging and sea kayaking when I get around to it. In the winter I like long-distance skating and skiing, but I’ve never learnt proper downhill skiing.
