Jouko Pölönen to serve as Chairman of our Board of Directors
The new Chairman of our Board of Directors is Jouko Pölönen, CEO of Ilmarinen . He was elected today by the Annual General Meeting of TELA.
The Annual General Meeting also elected the Vice Chairmen and other Members of the Board.
The first Vice Chairman is Risto Murto, CEO of Varma, the second Vice Chairman is Timo Kietäväinen, CEO of Keva, and the third Vice Chairman is Pasi Strömberg, Managing Director of Eläkekassa Verso.
The new Board Members elected are Outi Antila, Director General of Kela; Hanna Hiidenpalo, acting CEO of Elo; Jari Puhakka, Managing Director of Seafarer’s Pension Fund; and Tommy Sandås, acting CEO of Veritas. Hiidenpalo will serve as a member of the Board until Elo’s new CEO Carl Pettersson takes office in the fall of 2021. Pettersson will then replace Hiidenpalo as a member of Tela’s Board of Directors.
Therefore, as members of the Board of Directors continue Päivi Huotari, CEO of Mela and Timo Toropainen, Managing Director of Finnish Pension Funds.
