Purpose of the processing of personal data

The purpose of the processing is to manage the information relationship between newsletter subscribers and TELA, and the processing of personal data in keeping with the General Data Protection Regulation for purposes associated with the newsletters. In addition, the purpose is to use the address data to direct TELA’s information material to subscribers through TELA’s newsletters. The personal data are not used for commercial purposes.

Basis for the processing of personal data

The processing of personal data is based on the consent given by the subscribers to newsletters, or on TELA’s legitimate interest.

Categories of personal data concerned

The categories of people whose data can be processed are those who have subscribed to the newsletter and who have provided information on the order form.

Contents of the register

The following personal data are stored in TELA’s register:

  • Person’s name
  • Email address
  • Organization represented by the person
  • Title

Recipients of personal data

TELA discloses information to Koodiviidakko, which acts as the processor of personal data and is responsible for the technical dispatching of the letter.

Period for which personal data are stored, or the criteria used to determine that period

The data are deleted from the register at the request of the subscriber to the newsletter or because the subscription has expired. The request for erasing the data should be sent to viestinta(at)

Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to request access to their personal data and the right to request rectification or erasure of data or restriction of the processing. Data subjects also have the right to object to the processing of data insofar as the processing is based on legitimate interest. In addition, data subjects have the right to transfer data from one system to another if the processing is performed automatically.

Automatic decision-making

Personal data are not processed automatically. Nor are they used for automatic decision-making.

Protection of personal data

The register is maintained and protected by various technical and organizational measures. TELA’s data network and hardware are protected by technical solutions, such as a firewall and password protection. We ensure the systems’ fault tolerance and data recovery capabilities. TELA has a backup copy of the mailing lists. The previous month is deleted when a new copy is imported.
